Victoria Children’s Home
In 2019, VEF established the Children’s Home for orphans and children of impoverished families. Beginning with 40 children from rural communities, we nurtured their potential and witnessed remarkable transformations in their lives. Many have excelled in academics and sports, representing their township at district, state, and even national levels in the capital of Myanmar.
Since 2021, we have relocated the home to Yangon, where 28 children currently reside. Both the leaders and the children hold bold dreams and goals, serving as living witnesses to God’s greatness. The most rewarding aspect that brings joy to the staff and the leading family of VEF is that the children, aged 9–18, can encourage their families after being here for three months.
By God’s grace, our students have received Essay Awards at both the Township and State levels, two Exceptional Academic Awards, and multiple “A” Grade Awards. In total, VEF Home secured 18 awards, representing 20% of the school’s overall awards.
One of our students is now at seminary and others are employed in Singapore and Malaysia. Unfortunately, due to difficult school transfers and accommodation limitations some children have returned home and marry before turning 18yo which VEF tries to prevent.

Bible Translation
The Calvary Bible Translation Ministry is registered with the Myanmar Evangelical Alliance and aims to have the Bible in every language. Pastor Daniel along with Wycliffe Associates, support free translation tools and training.
He facilitates the translation of more than 20 languages for the Danu language group located in vulnerable areas. It is one of the biggest ethnic groups in Myanmar, where less than 1% of the population is Christian. Through Bible translation, VEF is strengthening a handful of believers and reaching the unreached.
Church Planting
Pastor Daniel’s father, Rev. Dr. Thoung Thang is one of the founding fathers of Calvary Evangelical Church (CECM) of Myanmar. He currently serves as the field superintendent of 12 churches with 1,200 members in Myanmar.
COVID-19 and the military coup have destroyed the livelihood of the members of CECM. Since the elephant food yam is no longer a sellable product, members are unable to support their pastors. These pastors are now working while still supporting their flock.
VEF plans to support 21 pastors and missionaries by gaining sponsors who can re-strengthen the pastors to do their work of discipleship and evangelism. The small amount of $150 can help a pastor or missionary with six family members with food, health care, and ministry.

Humanitarian Work
In times of national crisis—including the floods of 2024 and the devastating earthquake of 2025—we provided 48,384 kg of rice, medicine, and other relief items to affected communities.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, VEF distributed more than 5,878 kg of rice and essential supplies to vulnerable families.
Recently, we were able to provide assistance to 46 families who were severely affected by landslide-triggered flooding. A small stream swelled into a powerful torrent, carrying large stones and debris. As a result, entire sections of farmland were covered by four feet of mud and boulders, rendering once-productive land unusable.
Community Development
One of the biggest dreams of VEF is to empower families, build sustainable livelihoods, and foster resilience—ensuring long-term transformation that reflects the love of Christ.
